Importing moka pots for supermarkets, with a free coffee grinder in every store
The example that comes with the planner. Its figures are placeholders, but the results below are calculated live by the same planner you will use.
Revenue Costs Cash (USD)
The surprise most founders miss: in this example, most of the money is not needed for the grinders. It is tied up in imported stock bought three months ahead and in supermarkets paying 45 days after delivery. Selling faster even needs more cash at first. The planner shows you this before it happens.
Four steps, about an hour
- Your ideaA few sentences: the problem, your customers, how you make money, and what you ask for.
- What you sellProducts with price, purchase price, import duty and freight, and where you sell: shops, kiosks or branches that open one after another.
- What it costsSalaries, rent, transport and marketing, costs per location, equipment and one-off set-up costs.
- When cash movesStock bought ahead, customers paying later, your own savings, investors, loans and grants.
